Rich jewel tones are always a welcome change to the neutral wedding color palette, and with the increase in colorful weddings predicted for 2023 and 2024, we're sharing some tips for creating a moody jewel-toned wedding! Furniture pieces might make the biggest splash of color, and we have some great pieces to make your colors prominent and unforgettable! Aside from furnishings, take a look at other options too add color!
Include fresh fruit!
Whether. you're using the brighter lemons, limes and grapefruit and oranges, or muted figs, red pears, and textured in-the-shell nuts, fresh produce always adds to the look! Those items can be woven throughout your centerpiece decor, styled in rich brass containers, or become part of your backdrop design.
Include beautiful flowing drapery!
Christine, owner at Branching Out Chicago, provided the sapphire blue velvet table runners to complement vintage china, provided by Janet, owner at Dish and Decor Vintage Rental. We highly recommend both businesses for their creative and inspirational way of incorporating their craft into every event! You'll notice how the draped fabric really creates an eye-catching design for the sweetheart table, as well!
Make sure your design and colors are carried throughout your event!
Christine included fresh fruit in the floral displays along the 14 ft. Harvest table, as well as the Sweetheart table? We firmly believe that carrying through your design theme from the moment you step inside the door to every place your eye lands is so important in making your design and decor cohesive. You'll see touches of that same color palette throughout, and by doing so, everything about your event pleasing to the eye, and the senses!
Don't forget your tabletop design!
Include colorful goblets that coordinate with design! Tabletop decor helps to continue your vision, and creates a lasting memory for your guests. Janet styled the tables with a beautiful vintage china, accented with gold, and vintage green goblets, while linens were part of Windy City Linen collection.
The beautiful bridal gown was provided by Volles Bridal, located in Lake Zurich, IL. Modeled by Hortencia Ramos, this stunning gown was one of several photographed that day; photography was provided by Emma Belen Photography.
Especially in the Fall and Winter season, these rich colors bring a warmth and richness to the decor, like none other. What a luxurious feel events with the dark moody colors of emerald green, sapphire, violet and black can be!
We used our black camelback leather settee for the sweetheart table package, and our Joytable, with a reclaimed wood top, and aged base, it's always the perfect size and look for just two!
