Nearly 2 years ago, we were invited to participate in a styled shoot, incorporating a Southwest Boho design, held at The Moment on Main, a beautiful venue in Wheaton, IL. We loved the opportunity to turn on the creative juices, where a few inspiration photos were enough to start a design plan, giving us the opportunity to meet and work with numerous creative vendors to bring that vision to life.

Backdrop Ideas:

We brought our copper arbor accented with a vintage, hand-made dream catcher, to act as a backdrop for the sweetheart table package, including our vintage reclaimed wood farm table, Joy, and new inventory, our Mexican Epiquale chairs, with seats of terra cotta colored leather; a perfect Southwest touch! Lisa Enoch, owner at Gatherings by Lisa Enoch, created a beautiful floral installation for the copper arbor, as well as beautiful personal florals for the couple, and a floral arrangement for the guest tables. We've now also acquired a beautiful macrame backdrop which can be hung from the copper arbor, as well!

Using rugs in your aisle or ceremony area:

In front of the sweetheart table, numerous colorful rugs were styled to create a walkway, which could highlight the guests of honor, or could serve as an aisle runner! Don't be shy about mixing colors and patterns into your aisle rugs; when you're styling in a Boho vibe, not everything has to match, as long as there is a cohesiveness to the style. A little wear just shows a little more character and love the item has seen already! Additionally, I styled the sweetheart table with wooden beads, shed antlers, amber bottles filled with pampas grass stems, and brass candleholders, of course!

Guest table decor:

The guest tables were covered in sage green linens from FS Linens, and each place setting had a round jute charger, set with vintage white china, flatware, and amber stemware, while I knotted a green velvet napkin and placed it at the right angle to hold an individual namecard, designed by Designs by Ashley Harmon. At each place setting, a bouquet of hand-made soaps, wrapped in brown butcher paper, as if they were fragrant rose floral bouquets, were placed. Creator for these beauties was Layla Salah, @layslemons! The table settings were accented with our brass candleholders and tall white candles; whether battery operated or open flame, candle lighting is always attractive. Can you ever have too many candles?

Bring that pop of color and texture to the Lounge seating area:

For the Lounge seating area, we included out Paducah settee, and accented it with rust pillows, and a round wooden Moroccan coffee table and side table, and a cowhide rug to anchor the setting. We always encourage our couples to think beyond the tables, to make every aspect of the event work well together.

Remember to include details at other important areas:

Each place setting also had a beautiful Menu card, created by Designs By Ashley Harmon. A cake, designed with all the Boho fringe appliqued around the sides, was designed by Rebecca's Cakes by Design, and was beautifully styled on our wooden pedestal cake plate.

The couple were models through SCE Agency; the bride wore a gown from Here Comes the Bride. Hair and makeup was done by The Face Pro.

It is so inspiring to collaborate with such creative vendors. If you're in love with the Boho design, whether for your bridal shower, baby shower, or wedding, we assure you that there are vendors anxious to provide you with all the details that will make your vision come true!

We hope these ideas are helpful in providing you with some great ideas and inspiration!
