Newly engaged? What's next?
What's the one thing most brides and grooms to-be do after becoming engaged as they begin their wedding planning? I'd guess that attending one or more bridal shows or venue open houses is way up on the list, providing couples a way to visit with numerous vendors in one location, see their work in person, and get direct information on vendors they want to check out further.
Bridal Show Alternatives
But, 2020 and 2021 brought a pandemic, and most big shows have been canceled! How about a digital bridal show? This is exactly what we accomplished with the Fox Valley Styled Bridal Shoot, involving 5 differing venues in the Fox Valley area of Chicago, all collaborating with various vendors to create a wedding inspired styled shoot. We've given you a glimpse into venues you may or may not have visited, digitally, with professional photos, and links to each vendor who collaborated together!
Styled Shoot Contest
Even better, you get to vote in this "friendly competition!" Voting is allowed once daily through March 16, 2021, for your favorites in numerous categories, including "Best Floral Design," "Best Overall Design," "Best Reception Design," "Best Bridal Style," and many more! AND there are some great prizes available to the winners chosen from those who vote daily!
We were thrilled to be part of this effort, and it was so enjoyable to plan and design our styled shoot at The Loft of Elements Preserved, using rentals from our collection, as well as collaborating with some of our favorite creative vendors in the Chicago area.
If you're looking for an intimate wedding venue, please give us a serious look. Perfect for 50 guests or less, we offer a beautifully styled venue, including Lounge seating, farm tables and chairs, and numerous vintage furnishings that complete the elegant-luxe aesthetic, but also offering you the opportunity to upgrade your event by choosing from our vast collection of additional rentals available at our nearby showroom, Elements Preserved Vintage Rental, in downtown Elgin, IL.
Details from our styled shoot
That 12 ft. charcuterie board is one of our unique options, and what better way to "wow" your guests and bring your event to the next level with it's character; live-edge, black walnut, and beautiful! Fork It Foods & Grazing created a stunning charcuterie display that you'll agree is beyond stunning!
Using pieces from our architectural rentals, Christine Boulton, owner at Branching Out Chicago created a "forgotten garden" vision with our 7 ft. fluted column (one of two available), weaving greenery and roses throughout the climbing wall display, and our vintage cast iron garden urn, filled with roses!
Our 14 ft. Harvest Table was set with beautiful china, cut crystal and blush-colored stemware goblets, and gold flatware, from Dish and Decor Vintage Rental which worked perfectly with the garden aesthetic, while Christine filled 3 of our vintage concrete garden urns with florals for the tablescape!
And the beautiful gowns, provided by The Crystal Bride located in Geneva, were each unique and different. Take a look at photos of each, and reach out to them when you start looking for your wedding gown! They're located in beautiful Geneva, IL, where shops, cafes, boutiques, and confectionaries are plenty. Plan to spend the day exploring Geneva. It's one of my all time favorite small towns in the Fox Valley!
