Celebrate Those Small Events in Big Style
We are big promoters of celebrating events, big or small, and when you add a few props to your event, it really brings the whole event to a new level. We love to provide you with the extra details that you might not have on hand to carry out your theme! Our rental inventory is pretty vast and varied, and we can help give you ideas to make your event special!
Personally, I love picnics, and creating a picnic that has all the details, including flowers, pillows, small tables, blankets or rugs to sit on, candles, silver trays for silverware and napkins, and pretty goblets and plates.
A couple years ago, Elise, a Chicago blogger, owner, event planner and stylist at Chic From Chicago, created a beautiful beach picnic, complete with cake and flowers, and all the styling details, with the use of our rental pieces, as she began her Event Planning Business.
Creating a beautiful backyard celebration doesn’t require a lot of extras, but those few extras make all the difference in making your event something special. Don't wait for a celebration, though, make your Saturday afternoon or evening dinner a little extra special. With the onset of Covid-19, and social distancing, we've all seen so many photos of families in the household making something special of their everyday events! Making beautiful memories with those you love - is there anything better!
Elise used our brass candleholders for the table for two, along with colorful water goblets, vintage flatware, and amber bottles of varying sizes she filled with simple eucalyptus stems.
Our vintage apple basket was perfect for holding all the fruit for this fall picnic at the beach. If you’re expecting a larger crowd, we think this pretty little basket would make the perfect basket for flatware secured with; a great way to keep your napkins and flatware clean and secure from the breeze you might find at the beach!
What beach outing is complete without a wagon? We just love this little wagon that was so cute decorated with macramé and served as another little table for the cake, amber bottles, and galvanized berry picking basket. I’ve never seen these galvanized berry baskets before, but when I spotted those out picking, I knew I had to snag them. Hey, they’d even make great table centerpiece holders with vintage bottles for each of your tables. We have five!
The beautiful cake from Toni Patisserie Cafe took a special place on one of our vintage pedestal cake plates, while mercury glass votive candle holders added to the table details on the vintage wagon!
Of course, your table for two could be a simple folding table, but add a colorful tablecloth, or drape some lace, or use a scarf as a table runner! Simple touches make the difference. Elise used our poufs for the low sitting table, which were perfect for the beach setting. And, you can’t forget the flowers! Even a simple bouquet wrapped in tissue or a little burlap covering makes your arrangement more special! Include a little throw for when evening comes, and the breeze might be a little chilly, and you’re all set! Flowers For Dreams created this beautiful bouquet!
The photos, captured by Dawn E Photo, give you a few inspirational ideas about your next picnic, whether it’s at the beach or your backyard, and we hope that we’ve all learned through this season of Social Distancing, even our tiny events at home can be made special with a few extra touches thrown in.
And, if you’re in need of the special touches, please give us a call! We have so many pieces to help make your table special! If you need our help with pulling the details together, we’re happy to help there, too. Designing and styling pretty things is how our business started, and something I never get tired of helping others with. Give us a call to learn more. If you have a special event in mind, we'd love to make your vision a reality! Even the tiniest celebrations can be made memorable and unique!
