"'Cause every night, I lie in bed The brightest colors fill my head A million dreams are keeping me awake I think of what the world could be A vision of the one I see A million dreams is all it's gonna take Oh, a million dreams for the world we're gonna make" - Song by Pink
Late last summer, we hosted a styled shoot at The Loft of Elements Preserved, our natural light Venue, with theme being the movie, "The Greatest Showman." Photographer, Brooke Zitnik, shared her great love of this movie, and how it had been a guiding force in her life for several years, so having the opportunity to create a styled shoot that promoted the encouragement and positivity that this movie offers was a dream come true for her.
Using pieces from our vintage stamp collection and small collectibles, Brooke created some beautiful flatlays with all the details. We say it's really important to give your photographer pieces from your invitation suite, along with special jewelry, or momentos that will make for the most unique and memorable photos of your big day!
Somehow, I had never watched this movie, so shortly before the shoot, I took the time to watch it, and took notes of details that would be great to incorporate into the shoot, using our vintage rentals that fit with the time period and look, so well.
Pulling from my notes, the stockpile of items I wanted to incorporate began to grow, and actually, this is how I style every project I have the opportunity to work on! Beginning with a few simple ideas, the details from floral suggestions to tinting popcorn pink (the color scheme Brooke wanted to use), from using ropes on the tablescape to a stunning elephant that Limani Designs incorporated into their stunning farm-table floral centerpiece, the end product was so fun to see as it all came together. Just take a look at the pampas grass surrounding the tall vintage pillars in the ceremony area! Eleni and her team truly brought the vision of the unkempt grass surrounding the old farmhouse to life.
Calligraphy messages on blackboard frames were created by www.thepaperieco.com. Along with the blackboard messages, the very talented owner, Medbh, created the most beautiful table numbers which were perched on tiny brass stands, a "Sweets" sign for the cake cart, our vintage French flower cart which held the most beautiful, freshly made cake, by @jessicasdessertstudio, and other beautiful pieces for the invitation suite.
We loved the opportunity to host, design and style The Loft for this beautiful styled shoot, with such an important message to never give up on your dreams! We hope you enjoy the details!
When it comes to your special event or wedding day dreams, we hope you'll reach out to us, whether it be for design and style services with our curated decor, or to help create your special event at our intimate venue, nearby our decor showroom. It only takes a few key ideas or photos to help us begin the process of creating something special just for you! Give us your theme, give us your budget, and let us put it all together!
